Tips for Reporting your property Claim
|
You will be in contact with an Avatar claim’s representative once you have reported your claim so you will have and opportunity to provide more detailed information about your claim at that time. The most important step is to report your claim as soon as possible even when you don’t have all the information so that we can start the claim process and help you.

Date of the damage or loss
What was damaged or lost
Extent of the damage
Related injuries
Whether the police, fire department or ambulance were contacted
If temporary repairs are needed

Claim Handling Process
The amount of time required to handle each claim varies based on the severity of the property damage, and various other factors. Sure, some claims may be simple enough to handle with a single phone call, but others are more complex and require onsite inspection to make sure we’ve identified all the damage.
